Random number generator
Set a range and draw. One number or a thousand, with or without repeats.
How it works
Fair numbers, every time
Enter the lowest and highest number you want (both are included), choose how many to draw and press Generate. With No repeats on, each number appears at most once; otherwise the same number can come up again, just as with dice.
TickPickr uses your browser’s cryptographic random number generator and a method called rejection sampling, which makes sure every number in the range has exactly the same chance. Simple generators often favour some numbers slightly; this one doesn’t.
Popular uses
- Drawing raffle, lottery or giveaway winners.
- Picking a random page, question or task.
- Games and classroom activities.
- Random samples for tests and surveys.

Frequently asked questions
Are the numbers really random?
They come from your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source used to create encryption keys. Every number in the range is equally likely, and nobody, including TickPickr, can predict or influence the result.
What does "No repeats" do?
Each number can come up only once, like drawing numbered balls from a bag without putting them back. Use it for lotteries, raffles and picking winners. Turn it off to allow repeats, like rolling a die several times.
Can I use this for a raffle or giveaway?
Yes. Give every ticket or entry a number, set the range to match and draw as many winners as you need with "No repeats" on. For names instead of numbers, use the random name picker.
How large can the numbers be?
Any whole numbers between about minus and plus 9 quadrillion (9,007,199,254,740,991, the largest whole number JavaScript handles exactly). Negative numbers work too. You can draw up to 1,000 numbers at a time.
