What fits into 1 minute?
One minute is enough for more than you might think: a short breathing exercise, a game round or a focused burst of tidying.
- Minute-to-win-it party games
- Practising a one-minute speech or introduction
- A breathing exercise: around six slow breaths fit into one minute
- Push-up, skipping-rope or burpee challenges
- Timing turns in board games
Press Start and the countdown begins. You can pause, add a minute or reset at any time, and an alarm sounds when time is up. Need another length? Choose a quick-start time or enter your own; the online timer also takes any time up to 99 hours.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add more time while it runs?
Yes. Press "+1 min" to add a minute at any time, without stopping the countdown. It also works after the alarm: add a minute, then press Resume.
Can I count down 1 minute and 30 seconds?
Yes. Use the custom time fields below the quick-start buttons to set any time, down to the second, then press Start.
Will the alarm sound if I switch to another tab?
Yes. The timer keeps running in the background and the alarm plays when time is up, as long as the tab stays open and your device isn’t muted. The time left is also shown in the tab’s title.
Why is there no sound?
Check that "Alarm sound" is on, that your device isn’t muted, and on iPhone that the silent switch is off. Browsers only allow sound after you have clicked something on the page, so start the timer with a click or a key press.
