Frequently asked questions
How long should a stand-up meeting be?
The daily stand-up in Scrum is limited to 15 minutes. A visible countdown helps everyone keep their update short and on topic.
Can I make it 15 minutes and 30 seconds?
Yes. Use the custom time fields to set any time down to the second. The address then changes to something like #15m30s, so you can bookmark that exact timer.
Will the alarm sound if I switch to another tab?
Yes. The timer keeps running in the background and the alarm plays when time is up, as long as the tab stays open and your device isn’t muted. The time left is also shown in the tab’s title.
Why is there no sound?
Check that "Alarm sound" is on, that your device isn’t muted, and on iPhone that the silent switch is off. Browsers only allow sound after you have clicked something on the page, so start the timer with a click or a key press.
