Frequently asked questions
How long should a power nap be?
Short naps of about 10 to 20 minutes are usually recommended. After longer naps you are more likely to wake from deep sleep, which can leave you feeling groggy for a while.
How long should I boil eggs?
Roughly 6–7 minutes for a soft yolk and 9–12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs, counted from when they go into boiling water. Large eggs need a little longer.
Will the alarm sound if I switch to another tab?
Yes. The timer keeps running in the background and the alarm plays when time is up, as long as the tab stays open and your device isn’t muted. The time left is also shown in the tab’s title.
Why is there no sound?
Check that "Alarm sound" is on, that your device isn’t muted, and on iPhone that the silent switch is off. Browsers only allow sound after you have clicked something on the page, so start the timer with a click or a key press.
